Catholic Charities operates two 24-hour Community Residences. Our Perry Street Residence is a 9 bed facility and our Washington Street Residence is an 11 bed facility. Both are 24 hour supervised, NYS OMH licensed programs.
These rehabilitative settings are designed to provide a structured and supportive environment for individuals 18 and over who are struggling to maintain themselves independently. We use motivational, strength based approaches to assist people with developing their own path to recovery from mental health and/or co-occurring mental health and substance abuse issues.
Our staff strives to promote hope for those who feel hopeless, strength for the weak and belief that recovery is possible.
We treat all individuals with unconditional positive regard. We are dedicated to providing quality services which are person centered to assist the individual in reaching their fullest potential. We realize the varying needs of the individual and focus on assisting people develop a plan wellness and recovery based upon their desires, focusing on their strengths and the development of support networks and skills needed to achieve and maintain their journey of recovery.
